All articles published in the Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal (USMYJ) are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

Copyright and Author Rights

Authors retain full copyright of their work.
By submitting a manuscript, authors grant USMYJ a non-exclusive license for the first publication, while allowing others to reuse and adapt the work in accordance with CC BY 4.0 terms.

“Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License, permitting others to share and adapt the work with appropriate citation.”

Reuse of Materials

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, readers and third parties are allowed to:

  • reproduce, share, distribute, and translate the work;
  • create derivative works, provided that the original authors and source are credited;
  • reuse materials for academic, educational, or non-commercial purposes;
  • incorporate figures, tables, or text excerpts into new works with proper attribution.

Any distortion, misrepresentation, or misleading modification of the original work is strictly prohibited.
Commercial reuse must also comply with the attribution requirements of the license.

Journal Rights and Archiving

The Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal reserves the right to:

  • store, archive, and disseminate published materials in institutional or national repositories (e.g., the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Crossref, Google Scholar, or OpenAIRE);
  • preserve articles in multiple digital formats to ensure long-term accessibility and data integrity;
  • include metadata and full-text versions in indexing databases without additional author consent, provided that the CC BY 4.0 license terms are maintained.

The journal follows the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS principles for digital preservation and maintains a secure institutional archive.
