Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal (USMYJ) is a peer-reviewed scientific and practical publication founded in 1993 by a group of young scientists and students Bogomolets National Medical University.

The first quarterly issue was in 1994, its pages began with these welcoming words:

"The modern development of medical science of Ukraine, the need to support its future - young scientists and specialists, determine the extreme importance of the existence of a youth medical journal. They hope that young doctors, founders of the journal and its editors will find supporters and receive the necessary help from experienced scientists, colleagues, and all those with whom they will have to cooperate.

I wish the authors of the magazine and its editors creative success and fruitful work in the name of science, medicine and Ukraine."
